Jess and Joe met in Canada when Jess was there traveling. Since then they’ve lived in a few places around the globe, had a beautiful boy and recently tied the knot in Patong, in a beautiful intimate ceremony overlooking the water with gorgeous backlighting. Their wedding day was relaxed, playful and intimate; here are glimpses of the day…

Kate and Gaurav say I DoGoa India
I am so thrilled to blog the photos of my friend Kate’s wedding. It is a really beautiful thing when clients become friends, and in this experience Kate and Gaurav have become family.
The day started with Gaurav leading a morning yoga class in front of the beach before friends and family separated to get prepped for the ceremony and the party to follow. After their Indian wedding where they were married at 1 AM (more on that later) it was beautiful to play with natural light and celebrate in the dusty pink sunset characteristic of Goa. Having not been to a western wedding Gaurav was new to the whole experience, and it was wonderful seeing his reactions as the day unraveled – including his very Bollywood kiss at the ceremony!

Katherine and Todd say I DoThe View by Sydney
Last December I spent a breathtaking day with Katherine and Todd at their Sydney wedding, documenting my last wedding in Sydney before flying off to India. It was bliss to play with such a great bridal party and to celebrate their day with their family and friends. We roamed through Surry Hills and around Circular Quay with confetti and laughter pouring in before settling at The View for a great night of speeches and dancing. Thank you Katherine and Todd for having me, it was such a joy to be a part of your day.

Nancy and Steve celebrated their big day with lots of colour and fun. Below are snippets of this very happy day from my eyes.

Italian Village Circular QuayHolly and Luke say I Do
I’ve always found it a privilege to be welcomed into someone’s wedding to document the day unfold. It’s also an inspiration, both work-wise and on a personal level to observe and witness the bubbling anticipation, vulnerability, joy and all-round fun that comes with a wedding day that’s been planned and designed by the couple for their loved friends and family. Like observing the calm sea from afar, as you get closer you see all the textures and beauty and where the light hits, and how it comes together to create that beautiful energy that keeps you coming back. So I love every wedding I shoot, and witnessing the day unravel and both the carefully curated and spontaneous magical moments that come with it. This is Holly and Luke’s story; two beautiful people who met and fell in love in the northern beaches and a few weeks ago said I Do on a sunny Sydney day.

In exactly a month, I’ll be out in the Southern Highlands to document this beautiful family as Alex and Anita say ‘I Do’; all the more special with their little Charlotte there to celebrate their wedding day!

Gunner's BarracksSara + Dan say I DoGunner's Barracks
I am so excited to show you photos from Sara and Dan’s wedding at Gunner’s Barracks. It was one of those cold, windy and wet days where the only option was for Sara and Dan to thrown on some rain boots, be one with the elements and hug it out.
They had their first look before the ceremony and I absolutely love the photos in the rain. We then went back home for Sara to change out of her rainboots and have a moment with her parents. These are some of my favourite moments.
I’ve always loved wedding stories for the big and subtle ways you observe and experience love. And this wedding was just that – it was a beautiful day that overflowed with joy and laughs with some of their closest. Enjoy!

Gnanadickam FamilyNorthern Beaches
A crazy messy all encompassing love.
They’re the words that came to me during this session with the Gnanadickam family. It was wonderful to meet them and make space for this family to play. To witness and capture them in their element together. To observe the way Sanjay and Lorraine looked at each other and their kids; and talk to me about the changes they’ve seen in their inquisitive, affectionate and open-hearted children; qualities that are innate but have very intentionally been nurtured.
Meet the Gnanadickam family.
