CREATING YOUR WEDDING DAY TIMELINE

This is one of my favourite things to talk to clients about, mainly because once your special day rolls around - I want to ensure you're both able to settle in and enjoy the day easing from one part of the day to the next.

Despite all weddings being unique and having their own flavour of magic we can divide the day into three parts: The getting ready, The Ceremony, The Portraits and The Reception.

Have a think of what is important to you in each part and what unique aspects make your day special to you. For gifts passed down from generations to 'first looks' - what traditions would you like to follow and where would you like to deviate to ensure the day speaks to you?

Have a list of all the activities that need to happen and when is great to help you and your vendors be on the same page.

Have a list of family photos you would like and when. I usually recommend doing the formal photos straight after the ceremony when everyone is still in the one space. Have one person in charge of each 'side' of the families can be a great idea so it's not your poor bridal party trying to figure out who's who and hustling the fam.

Know that during the reception I'll be roaming around and getting photos of you and your guests so let the post ceremony list be the must of the musts, particularly if you are strapped for time between the ceremony and portrait photos.
